Virtual Avatar Technical Setup
Follow these 6 steps to successfully set up your virtual avatars on your devices.
Please complete the following tasks in sequential order PRIOR to the Getting Started Professional Learning session.
Step 1
Activate your RoboKind Central account. You should have received an email from RoboKind Central with a link to create your password.
Step 2
Allowlist the following RoboKind emails:
- auto@robokind.com
-
support@robokind.com
Step 3
Verify/Allowlist the following sites as classified/approved educational sites.
- app.robokind.com
- supplemental.robokind.com
- www.robokind.com
- www.robokind.us
- downloads.robokind.us
- auth.robokind.us
- data.robokind.us
- cdn-api.robokind.us
- cypress.robokind.us
- https://robokind.circle.so/home
If ALL sites are not allow listed, this will affect lesson functionality for your educators.
Step 4 (this requires 2 devices)
Access RoboKind Companion
*If you will be using iPads
Install the RoboKind Companion App on your iPad(s). Scan the QR Code below or access "RoboKind Companion App" in the App store.

iPad requirements:
- any iPad, iPad Air, iPad Mini, or iPad Pro which is updated to iOS 11.0 or later
- iOS 13.0 or later recommended
- When purchasing new iPad's, we recommend devices which support Apple's latest iOS version.
- Apple iPad devices with at least 3 GB free.
- Ability to sign into the iPad and download sofwatre from the Apple App Store®.
- WiFi and an internet connection speed of 5 Mbps is recommended.
- Student and Facilitator must have separate iPad devices.
*If you will be using chromebooks/PCs
Please note the following devices do NOT support the Web Companion:
- Amazon Fire Tablet
- Android tablets (ex. Samsung, LG)
- iPad (they MUST use the RoboKind Companion App)
On your preferred web browser, access companion.robokind.com
The Web Companion can also be accessed via RoboKind Central in the top left corner. 
Step 5
Pair your devices for the first time!
Step 6
Run a lesson with your virtual avatar!
*once the lesson is complete, you are able to input "N/A" for end-of-lesson survey questions.
