I can't find the student tablet during session setup!

Before beginning, please ensure that the student device is powered on and connected to the Internet.

  1. In the bottom right hand corner of both the facilitator and student device, verify that you see the RoboKind Companion Apps' current software version.

    1. If you have an older version, please update.

  2. Force close the RoboKind Companion App on both devices.

    1. On an iPad, double tap the home button, then slide up on the RoboKind Companion App to close it.

    2. For the Web Companion, use Control-FN-F5 on a laptop, or see instructions at How to perform a refresh in Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Microsoft Edge

  3. Restart the RoboKind Companion App on the facilitator device and sign in with your credentials used to sign in to https://central.robokind.com

  4. Restart the RoboKind Companion App on the student device and press the "student" button.

  5. Your student device will be on the WAIT screen if it has been paired already. Or you will get a request for a pairing code

If the student device still isn't showing up in devices after unpairing and repairing, power down the student tablet and wait 10 or so seconds. Power the iPad back on and the device should reappear.
